PRIVACY

Patient's medical information is the property of the patient and must be kept private and confidential. Molly Specialist Hospital is committed to protecting your health information. STATEMENTS OF PATIENTS PRIVACY PRACTICES

Referral

It is required that a referring physician provides necessary medical information about the patient to the facility to which the patient is being referred for an effective management to continue. Hence a patient’s information will be relayed on the grounds of referral.

Disease Condition

For a diabetic patient who is being treated for wounds, he must necessarily disclose his health status to allow the physician make informed prescription. It is a known fact that diabetes slows down healing process

Insurance

Your insurance company or Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) may be interested to know your medical status for administrative purpose, billing purposes or for service evaluation.

Quality of Care

Information about you may be circulated within the hospital network in order to improve quality of care you get and for improvement of the hospital’s operations.

Regulation

Your medical information may be shared in-between healthcare providers as permitted by law through relevant regulatory agencies or institutions. For example, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), through the healthcare providers, is permitted to have access to NHIS enrollees’ information for monitoring, evaluation and control.

Employer Use

Your employer may request to know your medical status for settlement of bill or for administrative purpose.
